WEEK 13

 Deadline & Finish Modelling Tire

This week I created a refined deadline pipeline for my capstone project. This is just to lay everything out and see the remaining tasks. I have set a rough time estimate on how long it will take for me to complete each task. I also managed to finish the last of modelling and touched up the model. (I had an issue of exporting the car where the wheels wouldn't render out.)

I started modelling by making a circle in edit mode and extruded the angles to create the centre of the wheel. I added a subdivision modifier to add loop cuts withing the wheel to make shape and definition. Then I went into face select mode and selected them in checker format so the wheel can branch out.

I then went to the edges and extruded them out. Then finally rotating the faces on the z axis to give more of a shape and did the same for y axis.
I selected the remaining inner faces and extruded them out similar to the step above along the z and y axis. For refining details using 'i' on the keyboard it allowed me to incent these faces to make slots around the inner circle of the wheel. Creating the initial tire I duplicated a circle from the inner part. Scaled it and extruded on the x axis so it fit properly. I added crease for touch ups so its more pronounced.

Creating a back drop for the wheel I duplicated a sphere from the inner part of the model. I extruded it to give detail and so it acts as wheel disc.
