WEEK 16

Refined Car Body Modelling Details This week I continued my refined modelling starting with the headlights using edit mode to create intricate angles and shapes. I went out of my way to make the individual light itself which I could then use later as the light source through glow emissions which was a notable detail to mention.

WEEK 15

Refined Car Body Modelling This week I managed to redo my Tesla model. I started with the doors by extruding them. The aid of modifiers helped immensely. I used a mirror so it paralleled my work on the opposite side. I also used solidifies and subdivision modifiers to split the objects into separate shapes.

WEEK 14

Tire Curve Modelling Extended I started by gathering a collection of reference photos that included different tyre features and angles. These pictures served as our visual manual and the basis for building a highly accurate and realistic model. I methodically set up background photos for reference in the 3D view and optimised our Blender workspace for effective modelling circumstances. I narrowed in on the tire's profile, carefully shaping the cross-section with the help of the reference photos. This required a great deal of fine tuning and meticulous attention to detail to make sure that the model's dimensions closely matched those of the actual tire. Then we started working on the difficult job of creating the tread pattern. I went into the modifier tab and used an array, beizer curve and a bevel to manipulate my desired shape. Reference Images:

Deadline & Finish Modelling Tire  This week I created a refined deadline pipeline for my capstone project. This is just to lay everything out and see the remaining tasks. I have set a rough time estimate on how long it will take for me to complete each task. I also managed to finish the last of modelling and touched up the model. (I had an issue of exporting the car where the wheels wouldn't render out.) I started modelling by making a circle in edit mode and extruded the angles to create the centre of the wheel. I added a subdivision modifier to add loop cuts withing the wheel to make shape and definition. Then I went into face select mode and selected them in checker format so the wheel can branch out.  I then went to the edges and extruded them out. Then finally rotating the faces on the z axis to give more of a shape and did the same for y axis. I selected the remaining inner faces and extruded them out similar to the step above along the z and y axis. For refin...
